…the thing is just ace!

Strummerland was released today, 15 Febraury, and we already have two amazing review. Gary Trueman at Devolution Magazine says “Their blending of catchy hooks and sing along choruses means it’s almost impossible not to listen to them without bursting out into a big grin. Strummerland wins on so many counts.  It’s full of easily likeable uncomplicated music.” and later compare us with another awesome polly with the sentence “In a world of musical beige the Dead Pollys are a bright yellow cockatiel with a guitar.”

Andy Thorley at Maximum Volume Music gives us another awesome review. He talks about all our songs and he really gets what we are doing… and why. About Not Alone he says “but crikey the thing is catchy. More than that, the thing is just ace” and Juba get creds for his ability to make strange rhymes with the words “and rhyming “minute” with “innit” is verging on genius”. We feel happy and humbled as he round up the review with this sentences: “That’s why we were in the record clubs, and that’s why Dead Pollys make albums like “Strummerland”. They want to. It’s in their blood.”
